OMG!!

concert was amazing!!
left kiama around 3pm, elissa decided to wing it on the way up and me with maps in hand! it was fine, we didn't get lost, we even got there early so we drove around the city until it was 5pm. parked at the opera house.
from the carpark to the opera house we walked passed a bar and the bouncer asked for ids, we told him that we weren't going to the bar and he felt a little embrassed. we walked around to the side of the opera house and looked at views. then we spotted jeremy stacey (drummer) and tim smith (bassist, who is a bit of alright!) walking by, we were going to yell out jezza but decided not to. elissa suggested that "we stalk them" while a security guard heard us and came over and asked us "how you girls doing?"
kept an eye out for anymore close encounters of the music kind but no sign. went to the steps of the opera house and waited for the rest of the board members to get there. in the end we had karen, alyssa, elissa, shaun, leanne, and me from the OTS boards. they were all real nice people. shaun was from scotland so he had a scottish accent, his girlfriend leanne had a kiwi accent, accent all around i tells ya.

Mercury Rev - support band
they were alright, a bit weird but alright. the lead singer was really weird in a bizzare conductor way. ohh and he had a fender strat the one i want!! the music was quite airy fairy hippy like actually. i would see them again.

finn brothers!!!!
came on dressed as a horse, it was quite funny. the stage background was sort of like a winter wonderland. very nice when lit up by lights. it was awesome!! lots of jokes cracked and harmonising with the audience, which was brilliant especially in the concert hall. decide to make a run for the front, made it and alyssa joined us. we got sooooo close, it was great. had 2 encores and finished with the beautiful "gentle hum". i asked the roadie if i could have neils bottle (labeled with tape as "kneel") but he said no, instead got a setlist. we ran outside and waited at the stage door. waited, and waited, then peter green came out, he is the nicest person ever, got some photos with him and he told us what to look for that'll signal the finns coming out. then jimmy barnes pulled up, gave us a wave, he was there to pick up his daughter and elroy. the boys, tim smith(bass/banjo/guitar), paul stacey(guitar/bass/keyboards) and jeremy stacey(drums), came out shortly after. tim tried to run away but was called back by jezza. jeremy was the nicest guy he had his arm around me tightly when we posed for a picture, he is just like a big cuddly bear. got him to sign the setlist, so that was good the others were in the car at that time.
waited a little longer and the FINNS came out!! neil was wonderful, tim tried to dash off, fair enough they are performing in newcastle the next day. neil signed my setlist and my program, couldn't get to tim on time but its all good! got a photo with neil!!! how exciting!!!!!!!!!

walked karen to a taxi, then walked by that bar again and the bouncers asked "how you doing?" we were like what the hell!

got back to kiama around 2am sooooo worth it.

haven't read the harry potter book yet but already knows what happens!
